About Me
From Fear's Prisoner to Your Rewiring Guide
I Walked Through the Shadow of Fear – Now I Light the Path for You
Hi, I'm Jasper Cove, author of Through the Shadow of Fear: Breaking Free from Religious Trauma and coach for those untangling religious trauma's knots, dealing with anxiety, or any sort of negative thought-feeling pattern like fear, shame, etc.
But let's skip the resume; this is the real story, because if we're doing this healing work, it starts with truth.
The Early Wiring
Raised in a strict fundamentalist world, every choice carried the weight of eternal judgment. "You're gonna go to hell" wasn't hyperbole. It was the soundtrack wiring my nervous system for hypervigilance, leaving me afraid, anxious, and ashamed. On the outside, no one knew. Success in career and community? Sure. Inner peace? A myth.
The Breaking Point (Late 30s)
Like so many of us, exhaustion hit hard. I left religion, chasing freedom from rules and guilt. Relief washed in; but the fear? It stayed, a burrowed echo turning new joys into threats. Therapy helped unpack the mind; self-help nudged the habits. But for ten years, that invisible weight of fear lingered, proving trauma isn't just belief. It's biology.
The True Breakthrough (Mid-40s)
Freedom demanded more: science to rewire the core. Inspired by Joe Dispenza, I dove into breathwork (calming the body's storm), heart-brain coherence meditations (aligning chaos into clarity), journaling (unearthing subconscious scripts), and quantum visualizations (crafting a future untethered). Quiet evening meditations opened my heart and calmed my racing mind. Weekend walks raised my vibration to a new me. What started as survival became thriving. Fear's roar, was now a whisper.
That's the arc in my book: nonlinear, messy, hopeful
Today, I channel it into coaching and writing, helping folks like you whether religious trauma is your beast or anxiety's just life's thief. I'm not a guru; I'm the friend who's been there, holding space for your steps. Guiding you on your journey to deal with anxiety and find freedom.
Why Me?
Certified in nervous system reprogramming (not the book kind) through life experience, with a bookshelf full of Dispenza and a heart full of stories.
Credentials fade next to this: I've lived the lag between leaving and liberating.
